RACINE, WI (WSAU) – Former President Donald Trump will be returning to the Badger State next week to address supporters in the vital swing state for the second time this year.
According to the event listing on his campaign website, the event will be held on Tuesday, June 18th, at the Racine Festival Fairgrounds, with Trump scheduled to speak at 3 p.m. following local candidates running for office. Anyone interested in attending can get free first-come, first-served tickets on his website.
Trump’s last visit was held at Green Bay’s KI Convention Center back in March and told a large crowd of supporters that winning the Wisconsin Republican primary and general election race come November is well within reach, saying, “With your support, we’re going to win the Wisconsin Republican primary in a landslide that will be in a few hours, and on November 5th, we’re going to win this state, we are going to win the White House, and we are going to save our country.” The former president went on to win the primary taking over 79% of the vote over former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley, who carried 12% of the vote.
While in Green Bay, Trump endorsed Wisconsin Republican U.S. Senate candidate Eric Hovde, saying, “Eric, I’m giving you my complete and total endorsement, so go out and win.” It’s expected that Hovde will also be in attendance at the rally in Racine.
