Wausau, WI (WSAU)– The Milwaukee Brewers are on a hot streak as of late. In Saturday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles, the Brewers earned another victory with the final score being 11-5.
The beginning of the game started shakey for Milwaukee as Baltimore led 4-1 in the second inning. The Brewers scored 3 runs in the 3rd. After an error by the Oriole’s second baseman, the Brewers followed it up with a couple of singles while loading the bases. Jake Bauers brought home a run, and Rys Hoskins followed up with an RBI single after the Orioles left fielder had an error. Milwaukee was able to tie the game 4-4.
In the 4th Baltimore scored again, putting them up 5-4. William Contreras though, ended up tying it with an RBI single in the 4th, followed by Bauers’ first homer of the season. Sal Frelick tacked on a single RBI in the 8th, while Willy Adames followed suit, earning a two-run double.
This was the 6th time in the 1st two games the Brewers scored at least 3 runs in an inning. Friday night they defeated the Orioles 11-1. Milwaukee has scored 58 runs in their last 6 games, with scoring at least 7 runs in each. The streak ties the franchise record from 1982 and 1989.
The Brewers face off against the Orioles looking for the sweep and to get their 5th straight win. The pre-game show starts at noon today on WSAU, with the 1st pitch at 12:35.
