CINCINNATI, OHIO (MetroSource-WSAU) — Trevor Bauer struck out 12 over eight innings of one-run ball as the Reds cruised past the Brewers 6-1 in Cincinnati.
Bauer improved to 5-and-4 with the victory. Joey Votto, Eugenio Suarez and Jesse Winker all homered for the Reds, who took two-of-three in the series.
Orlando Arcia doubled in the lone run for Milwaukee, which had won four in-a-row before this series. Adrian Houser fell to 1-and-6 with the loss.
Milwaukee now chasing three teams ahead of them in the Wild Card race. San Francisco and Cincinnati currently hold the spots with Philadelphia in the mix as well.
The Brewers start a five game series in St. Louis to finish the regular season. Pre game show tonight at 6:40 on WSAU.
