MOSINEE, WI (WSAU) — The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office will host a multi-jurisdictional training session in the Town of Mosinee on Tuesday.
About 60 officers from multiple agencies will work in a wooded environment to focus on collaboration and communication during a large-scale incident. The public should know that the incident is planned and that there will be no danger despite the large law enforcement presence. All activity that occurs as part of the training will be carefully planned and coordinated to ensure the safety and security of those involved and the public.
Training will occur near the Duane L. Corbin Shooting Range and portions of the Nine Mile Forest Recreation Area from 7 AM to 1 PM.
Should an actual emergency occur during the training, it will be communicated to the public through the county’s Everbridge emergency alert system.
