WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — A heavy police presence in Wisconsin Rapids has led to the arrest of two people.
According to a Facebook post, officers were called to the Rapids Inn and Suites for a report of a man that was wielding a gun in the parking lot and “acting crazy.”
The man in question had returned to his room by the time officers arrived. They were able to make contact with him and he was arrested on outstanding warrants without further incident. A woman who was also in the room was arrested as well.
Officers add that there is no danger to the public at this time. The incident remains under investigation, it’s unclear if any charges will be filed as a result of the incident.
