ADAMS FRIENDSHIP, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – On Tuesday afternoon, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources announced that Adams County suffered multiple wildfires.
The primary fire was reported west of Friendship on County Road J, according to DNR spokesperson Molly Meister. She stated that it expanded a little more than five acres.
Meister also said that the area had two smaller “spot fires” later in the day.
All of the flames were put out on Tuesday night by the DNR and other local fire departments. Overnight, firefighters continued to watch the situation to ensure the fire was indeed out.
On Wednesday, firefighters continued clearing up the debris and officials stated that they don’t think the fires caused any structures to be harmed.
