WEIN, WI (WSAU) – The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office announced on Monday afternoon that an 18-year-old man named Samuel Cruz Castro died in a car accident late last week.
The accident occurred on Thursday, June 8th around 7:04 PM near the intersection of County Road N and Aspen Drive in the Town of Wein, according to the press release. Castro was sent to Aspirus Wausau Hospital with potentially fatal injuries.
The Marathon County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, June 11th, that Castro had died as a result of his injuries.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing and no further details are being released at this time.
