WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – The 2023 Spring Parade of Homes is about to begin, and while many people watch the market with caution due to high-interest rates and low inventory, some say now is a great time to consider remodeled homes.
Parade of Homes Chairman Chris Berger spoke about the remodeled home market saying, “There are some great examples of extensive remodels, for example, there is a good addition up on Lake Nokomis and we’ve got a vacation rental available to view as well as some townhomes along with a lot of custom homes so there is a little bit of everything.”
Berger continued by addressing some of the issues that currently exist with building a new home by saying, “The supply chain has gotten better and lumber prices have come down…price per square continues to be up there but there are a lot of good things to look at this Parade.”
Tours will begin tomorrow and Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will continue on Thursday and Friday from noon until 9 p.m. The event will also run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
