MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers placed Jesse Winker on the 10-day IL Monday with a neck problem.
Winker had neck surgery in the off-season and has struggled for Milwaukee this season since being acquired in the Kolten Wong trade.
The other player acquired in the deal, utility man Abraham Toro, was recalled from AAA Nashville to replace Winker on the roster.
Other injury updates:
Eric Lauer and Matt Bush are close to starting re-hab assignments in the minor leagues. Luis Urias is re-habbing with Nashville and will probably re-join the team next week.
