RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) — A former Oneida County Patrol Sergeant has been handed a 90-day jail sentence for stalking a resident while he was on the clock over an 18-month period.
Stetson Grant was found to have engaged in stalking by showing up at the victim’s house unannounced, including during times when he was on patrol, and would not leave when asked to. At one point the victim threatened to call police, only to be told “I am the police” by Grant.
The 36-year-old has also been given three years of probation.
He was found guilty at trial earlier this year. The case was investigated through the State Department of Justice. The Price County District Attorney acted as a special prosecutor since the matter involved a former employee of the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department.
