WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Wausau Police are applauding one of their own for saving a juvenile from ending their own life, according to a Facebook post.
Officers were notified by a friend of the teen that they had been making suicidal statements. Police were then notified of a person sitting on the edge of a parking ramp.
Nearby officers rushed to the top of the parking ramp and were able to safely get the person down from the ledge.
The department credits the person who called in the tip along with officer Josiah Kaetterhenry for pulling the person back from the edge before they could jump.
