STETTIN, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — Storage buildings were destroyed following a large fire just outside of Wausau on Wednesday.
WAOW TV reports the fire involved storage sheds located just off Stewart Avenue near the Wausau/Stettin border. SAFER crews were first on the scene, but they quickly requested mutual aid due to the size of the fire and strong winds associated with Wednesday’s storm
Inspectors say the building and its contents are a total loss, but no one was injured in the incident.
Investigators are still looking into how the blaze started.
