WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Brandon Noll was sentenced on Monday for the killing of his stepbrothers, Michael & William Stone.
Marathon County Judge Michael Moran handed the 24-year-old the mandatory life sentence for the stabbings without the possibility of parole.
Noll admitted to investigators that he wanted to know what it would feel like to kill someone, adding that he knew the morning of April 7th, 2020 that “today would be the day he would do it.”
The Stone brothers were playing video games in the basement of their home in Stratford when Noll made a noise to lure one of them away. He then stabbed him and stabbed the other when he came to help. Noll then took a vehicle and led police on a high-speed chase through foggy conditions into Marshfield before he was arrested.
Monday’s sentencing featured statements from six different people connected to the case and from Noll himself before Moran handed down his decision.
