WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Artrageous Weekend returns to Wausau September 11th and 12th.
Events will once again be held in multiple locations both days, including the Festival of Arts downtown. Multiple artists will have their works for sale near the 400 block with music on the mainstage and numerous food vendors. Art classes and other hands-on activities will also be provided.
Downtown venues will also include the Center for Visual Arts on N 4th Street. Free exhibits will be up in all four of their galleries both Saturday and Sunday.
Marathon Park will also host the annual Art in the Park event with more than 120 vendors in the East Gate Hall and Expo Building. There will also be food and beverages available for purchase.
Organizers note that there will also be an ATM on site, as not all of the vendors will have the capabilities to take debit or credit cards.
This weekend is also the grand opening of the annual Birds in Art exhibit at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum. The display will remain up through late November.
Wausau’s MetroRide bus service will be offering shuttles between all of the events. Busses will run ever 15-20 minutes between the locations. The main downtown drop-off point will be at the corner of 4th and Jefferson.
The city of Wausau will also be closing some downtown streets for the event starting on Friday. Click here for that list.
