RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU-WXPR) — After a year away due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rhinelander’s famed 4th of July Parade returns this year.
The Rhinelander Chamber has announced this year’s event will be Sunday, July 4th beginning with a kiddie parade at 10 AM, followed by the main event at 11 AM.
Parade Chairman Dale Schlieve told WXPR that this year’s theme has a deep meaning coming out of the pandemic. “We think the word remember is a very important word. United We Stand, we didn’t stand together in the past few years, couple years and that. So my wife and I thought let’s put the word remember, remember united we stand. People got to get together.”
So far four marching bands have signed up for the event. Businesses and groups that wish to participate can reach out to the Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce for more information.
