Marisa Arne
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Schofield woman has been sentenced for providing the drugs that led to an overdose death in July 2025.
Marisa Arne will serve six years in prison and ten years on extended supervision after pleading no contest to one count of reckless homicide by delivery of drugs and felony bail jumping. Numerous other drug-related and bail jumping charges were then dismissed but read into the record, closing three other cases.
The 31-year-old is accused of selling drugs to the man in the parking lot of the Wausau library. He was found dead at his home later that same day, with toxicology reports showing fentanyl in his system along with signs that he may have suffered a heart attack.

Investigators noted that the victim previously suffered a near-fatal overdose and had completed a rehabilitation program.
Arne’s sentence breaks down to three years in prison on each count and will be served alongside a previous sentence for possession of methamphetamine. She was given credit for just over a year served in jail awaiting trial.
