Whole Foods recalls food containing jalapenos on potential salmonella contamination

Aug 12 (Reuters) – Whole Foods Market said on Wednesday it ​was recalling select ‌products from its produce and prepared foods departments that contain jalapenos ‌sourced ​from Coast ⁠Citrus Distributors due ⁠to potential salmonella contamination.

No illnesses have been reported to date ​in connection with these products, the ⁠FDA said.

The ⁠FDA and CDC, ​in collaboration with state ​and local partners, are ‌investigating illnesses in a multistate outbreak of salmonella infections linked ⁠to fresh jalapenos supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors.

The recalled ⁠products ‌include select ⁠salsas, guacamole, pico ​de ‌gallo and prepared ​foods, Whole ⁠Foods said.
