MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The two candidates vying for a ten-year term on the Wisconsin Supreme Court will meet tonight in their only scheduled debate.
Appeals Court Judges Maria Lazar and Chris Taylor will meet at the Marquette Law School at 7 PM. The event will be seen on WAOW’s Catchy Comedy channel, available on local cable systems and over the air on channel 9.2. A live stream will also be available at the WAOW website.
While the race is officially non-partisan, Taylor has the backing of liberals, and Lazar is the favorite of conservatives.
The winner of the April 7th election replaces Rebecca Bradley, who chose not to seek re-election this year.
The Supreme Court election is held alongside other local, non-partisan elections.
