WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Northwoods Congressman Tom Tiffany has raised more than $2 million since launching his campaign for Wisconsin’s vacant Governor’s seat.
Tiffany, one of several major-party candidates for the seat, says he’s received donations from all 72 Wisconsin counties. The Republican calls that a sign of strong, grassroots support for his campaign.
“While Democrats rely on Hollywood donors and coastal elites, we are building a movement powered by the People of Wisconsin that is focused on better schools, lower taxes, and restoring affordability after seven years of failure under Governor Evers and Wisconsin Democrats,” said Tiffany in a press release. “I am humbled by the grassroots support from every corner of our state, and I look forward to sharing a vision that reverses declining education outcomes, lowers electricity rates and property taxes, and ensures Wisconsinites from young families to seniors on fixed incomes can afford to call Wisconsin home.”
