TOWN OF BRADLEY, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Authorities are investigating a potential child abuse and neglect case involving a family living in an RV, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
WAOW TV reports the situation came to light on December 12, 2025, when a child from the family sought food from a neighbor while the parents were away.
The neighbor provided food and contacted the sheriff’s office, which responded with child protective services. They discovered that the parents had left their eight children alone while they traveled to purchase marijuana.
The children reported feeling unsafe at home, citing physical discipline such as punching and kicking. They were removed by child protective services before their parents returned.
Upon arrival, the parents were arrested for physical abuse, child neglect, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Investigators noted that the RV lacked heating, further complicating the living conditions. Five dogs were also removed from the home and are now being cared for by the Lincoln County Humane Society.
The children are temporarily relocated as services search for a suitable home. The parents are in custody at the Lincoln County Jail. Names of those involved are not being released to protect the children’s identities.
