MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin mens basketball team won their Big Ten opener with an 85-73 win over Northwestern on Wednesday night at the Kohl Center.
The Badgers built a 23-point halftime lead, scoring 55 points before the break.
John Blackwell led the Badgers with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Nick Boyd had 20, Austin Rapp had 13 and Nolan Winter added 12.
Wisconsin, now 6-2, 1-0 in the Big Ten, will play Marquette on Saturday afternoon. Pre-game show at 12:30 on WSAU.
