Terrell Poe
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Sheboygan man accused of sexually assaulting a woman at knifepoint will face a three-day trial starting on April 28th, 2026.
Terrell Poe is facing felony counts for sexual assault through the use of a dangerous weapon and threatening a law enforcement officer. Investigators say he forced himself on a woman at knifepoint, then fled the scene.
The victim reported the incident and submitted to a rape kit. Poe was arrested a few days later, allegedly threatening to stab the officers as they were taking him into custody.
He faces up to 66 years in prison with the potential for additional time due to his status as a repeat offender. The 29-year-old has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Court records show he previously lived in Wausau. Prior convictions against him include felony aggravated battery against an elderly person and a misdemeanor for criminal damage to property.
A final pretrial conference is scheduled for March 19th. The trial is scheduled to wrap on April 30th.
