WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Two people died in separate single-vehicle crashes in Marathon County last weekend.
The first happened Saturday evening in the Town of Texas near County Road W and Alamo Road. No details were released regarding the crash.
The victim has been identified as 72-year-old William R. Kibler of Rhinelander, who died at the scene.
Then on Sunday, officers were called to State Highway 13 and Merkel Road in the Town of Spencer. The 52-year-old driver was found dead at the scene.
No other passengers were involved in the crash, and the driver’s name has not been released.
Deadly crashes were also reported in Clark and Vilas Counties over the weekend.
