Wisconsin Badgers
MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Badgers take down Illinois on Senior Night, 27-10. Wisconsin had Darrion Dupree rushing 131 yards and a defensive effort.
Veteran players on senior night made important plays to secure the Badgers’ victory. Vinny Anthony II had a 6-yard TD run, and OLB Darryl Peterson notched three sacks. Senior safety Charlie Jarvis made a key stop on an Illinois punt attempt.
Vinny Anthony had a touchdown, giving Wisconsin the opening lead at 7-0. Illinois then had a touchdown midway through the second quarter, tying them 7-7.
Darrion Dupree took a handoff 84 yards to the house for a Badgers touchdown with 9:40 to play in the third. The home-run play gave the Badgers a 17-7 lead.
Illinois had a field goal, making it 17-10 with a minute and twenty-three left of the quarter.
Darrion Dupree scored another touchdown on a 4-yard direct snap. The touchdown left the score 24-10.
Nathaniel Vakos had his second field goal of the day, leaving the Badgers even more in the lead at 27-10.
