Two Firefighters Injured in Stevens Point Structure Fire

STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while responding to a structure fire Thursday morning.

Crews were called out at about 2:30 AM to an address in the 300 block of First Street N. Additional crews from Hull, Dewey, Amherst, and Rulolph also responded.

Both injured firefighters are expected to make a full recovery. One was treated for their injuries at a local hospital and released. No additional injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No further information, including the scope of the damage, has been released.
