Paul Hardwick
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — A 53-year-old man accused of homicide by delivery of drugs had his bond reduced on Thursday.
Paul Hardwick is now free on a $5,000 cash bond after previously signing a $25,000 bond. Investigators say he provided the drugs that killed Sara M. Wilkinson in April.
Police were called to Hardwick’s home to find Wilkinson unresponsive. She died at the scene. A search of the residence turned up multiple illicit drugs.
The 54-year-old was arrested in June. He also faces charges for possession of cocaine and THC, along with felony bail jumping. Misdemeanor charges for maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of drug paraphernalia have also been filed.
The most serious charge against him, reckless homicide by delivery of drugs, carries a maximum prison term of 60 years in the state prison system. He pleaded not guilty to the charges in July. A final pretrial conference is scheduled for February 20th.
No trial dates have been set.
