Victor Manuel Gomez Acosta
NEILLSVILLE, WI (WSAU) — The man accused of killing his children and stabbing his then-wife before turning the knife on himself will go to trial for homicide and attempted homicide in late 2026.
A judge scheduled an eight-day trial for Victor Manuel Gomez Acosta for November 16th-25th. Investigators say the 30-year-old stabbed the girls to death in July 2024, then stabbed his wife, who required surgery for her wounds but survived.
He was arrested at the scene and treated for a self-inflicted stab wound before being jailed.

Status hearings are scheduled for January and mid-July. A final pretrial hearing is scheduled for mid-October. He has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
He was found incompetent for trial in September 2024, with a judge ordering that he receive treatment. He was deemed competent in January.
