TOWN OF LOYAL, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A horse-drawn buggy was involved in a crash in the Town of Loyal, leaving one person dead.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened Saturday around 2:50 p.m. on County Trunk Highway K north of Spencer Road. Their initial investigation shows the buggy was traveling north on CTH K when a van struck from behind.
The sheriff’s office says, “The buggy had two people in it. The adult passenger died at the scene, and a 12-year-old was taken to the Marshfield Medical Center with serious injuries. The van had one person in it, who was uninjured.”
Along with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Loyal Area Fire and Ambulance Service, and the Marshfield Fire Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
The crash is under investigation by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the Clark County Coroner’s Office, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Names of the people involved are not being released at this time.
