ATLANTA, GA (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Atlanta Braves 7-2 on Tuesday night in Georgia. That victory paired with a Cubs loss had increased Milwaukee’s lead over Chicago to four games in the Central Division.
The Brewers scored four times in the 3rd inning to get things rolling and the pitching staff made it stand up.
Andrew Vaughn and Issac Collins had two RBIs each. Christian Yelich and Brice Turang also drove in runs. Freddy Peralta gave up one run on four hits with 7 Ks over five innings to pick up his 13th win of the season.
The Brewers have just completed the best 60-game stretch in franchise history. The record stands at 69-44 and they will play in Atlanta again tonight…pre-game show at 5:40 on WSAU.
