Taylor Sanchez
FOND Du LAC, WI (WSAU) — The woman found guilty of killing Cindy Schulz-Juedes in the prison cell they shared will spend the rest of her life in lockup.
Judge Tricia Walker sentenced Taylor Sanchez to life without the possibility of parole on Monday after the 29-year-old pleaded no contest to one count of first-degree intentional homicide.
Sanchez said she was off her medication and had been hearing voices, including those that told her Schulz-Juedes was scrubbing the toilet with her toothbrush. She later admitted to beating the 69-year-old with her hands and feet.
Autopsy results showed significant skull fractures. Her cause of death was listed as head trauma.
Schulz-Juedes had just begun a life sentence for killing her husband, Ken Juedes, back in 2006. Though court records show she had been preparing to file an appeal.
Investigators long suspected Schulz-Juedes had a hand in her husband’s death, ultimately charging her as a “party to the crime,” meaning they don’t believe she acted alone. No one else has ever been charged in connection with the case.
