STRATFORD, WI (WSAU) – A 10-month old child died in a crash Wednesday on Highway 97.
The Marathon County Sheriff’s Department says the crash happened around 4:30pm on Wednesday near Blueberry Road. A southbound driver lost control and went into the ditch.
The baby boy who died in the wreck was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 34-year-old female, and three other passengers, ages 18, 4, and 1, all suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
No names have been released.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. Visibility was poor because of heavy rain at the time of the crash.
