TOWN OF GRANT, WI (WSAU) — An 18-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man has been identified as the victim of a deadly holiday weekend crash in Portage County.
Stephan Hill died after he was partially ejected from the vehicle. Investigators say the driver, a 17-year-old, was driving recklessly when they lost control of the pickup. The vehicle left the road, struck an embankment, and overturned.
The driver was also partially ejected from the vehicle and suffered undisclosed injuries. An update on their condition hasn’t been given. Two rear-seat passengers were unharmed.
The crash was reported at about 1 AM on July 5th near Evergreen Avenue and 110th Street. No further information has been released.
