WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Woodchucks knocked off the Madison Mallards 5-4 on Wednesday night at Athletic Park in Wausau.
Dylan Schlotterback doubled in the winning run in the 9th inning. Max Soliz had a solo homer for the Chucks. Hunter Carlso also had an RBI.
Garret Landry picked up the win with three innings of scoreless relief.
The Woodchucks have won four straight and host Madison for a day-night doubleheader today.
Meanwhile the struggles of the Wausau Ignite softball team continued with a 7-6 loss at Minot. Mia Johnson drove in all six Wausau runs with two three-run homers.
The Ignite are now 6-17 and will host Mankato in a double-header on Friday.
