Brittany and Tristan Hull
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Central Wisconsin woman accused of starving a child will go to trial next February for felony counts of child neglect and abuse.
Brittany Hull was scheduled for a five-day trial from February 23rd through 27th. Prosecutors say she rationed the victim’s food and water intake, telling her it was part of a special diet designed to help her cope with “an undiagonosed medical condition.”
They claim that the girl was forced to eat her meals in a separate room from the rest of the family and that she occasionally required help with utensils.
Brittany, 32, faces up to 65 years in prison if found guilty on both counts. She’s pleaded not guilty.
Her partner, 40-year-old Tristan Hull, is also facing child neglect charges and is scheduled for a one-week trial next January. However, he is also scheduled for a plea hearing on August 11th.
Both are being held in the Marathon County jail on bond with several conditions, including no contact with the victim or each other. Brittany is allowed supervised contact with her biological children.
