WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Woodchucks bats continued to boom with an 11-2 rout of Wisconsin Rapids on Tuesday night at Athletic Park in Wausau.
The Chucks won their 3rd straight and have scored 31 runs in those games.
Josh Arquette hit two home runs and drove in four runs. Max Galvin also went deep for the Chucks and had three RBIs. Noah Malone went 3-4 with three RBIs nd Dom Rodriguez drove in a run as well.
Zach Wyatt picked up the win with six innings of two-run ball. He allowed seven hits, striking out five and walking one.
The Woodchucks host Madison tonight.
Meanwhile, the Wausau Ignite softball team dropped a pair in Minot, 10-2 and 4-3. Both Wausau runs were unearned in game one. Brooklyn Hofer and Molly Fitzgerald had RBIs for the Ignite in game two but it wasn’t enough. The two teams play again tonight in North Dakota.
