WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Woodchucks beat the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 10-1 on Monday night at Witter Field. The Wausau Ignite softball team dropped a 5-2 game at Minot on Monday.
Max Galvin and Max Soliz both had homers and drove in three each. Brody Sexton had two RBIs while Keagen Jirschele and Dom Rodriguez had one each.
Nolan Bernard picked up the win giving up one run in six innings striking out seven and walking three.
The Woodchucks will host the Rafters tonight.
The Ignite, making their first trip to Minot, took a 2-0 lead in the first inning but couldnt hold it. Hannah Trzinksi had an RBI for Wausau.
The two teams will play a doubleheader today.
