MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — A quality start from Chad Patrick wasn’t enough for the Milwaukee Brewers as they mustered just 11 baserunners in a 2-0 loss to San Diego on Friday.
Milwaukee batters recorded four hits and six walks. Brice Turang, Jackson Chourio, Christian Yelich, and Sal Frelick all recorded singles. Rookie Issac Collins was walked three times.
Joey Ortiz also reached base on a hit by pitch.
Patrick went six innings and allowed just four hits and one earned run.
Cather Martin Maldonado led the Padres with two hits, including a double and a solo home run.
The same two teams will play again tonight at American Family Field. Pregame coverage begins at 6 PM on WSAU.
