CINCINNATI, OH (WSAU) — Jackson Chourio recorded three hits, including a 2-run home run in the 5th inning, and Quinn Priester allowed just two hits and three walks over five innings to lead Milwaukee in a 9-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday.
Chourio finished 3-5 with two RBI and two runs scored. Rhys Hoskins, Brice Turang, and Daz Cameron each added two hits. Camron’s line included his first home run of the season, a two-run shot in the sixth inning.
Priester came on in the 4th inning and allowed one earned run. He also recorded four strikeouts.
DL Hall was effective over three innings as the starter, giving up one hit and two walks. Nick Mears pitched a clean 9th to close out the game.
Milwaukee moves to 34-29 on the season and 9-1 in their last ten games. They’ll be off on Thursday before starting a three-series homestand on Friday, welcoming the San Diego Padres to American Family Field for a 7:10 first pitch.
The ten-game homestand also features three games against Atlanta and four against St. Louis, with no off days in between. It’s the longest homestand of the year for the Brewers.
