WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Habitat for Humanity helped transport a family’s new home to its lot.
The new home was built by students at D.C. Everest, with the help of professionals and their instructors. This is the organizations 74th home that they have helped provide. During construction of the home, Habitat for Humanity provided Everest with the building plans, along with the materials.
Tiffany Arnold, the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity in Wausau said, “We are just blessed to have so many wonderful people wanting to be part of our projects, recognizing the need for affordable housing in our community and so, it’s such a blessing.”
Caitlin Kyle, the new homeowner added, “It’s overwhelming the amount of support we have and just to see all these people show up to help us. We are incredibly grateful.”
Volunteers will finish the home over the summer, and they expect the family to close on the home in September.
