GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — Some services have been restored for Cellcom users.
In a Monday afternoon update, the regional wireless carrier announced that users should be able to contact other Cellcom customers and send SMS messages.
“We are making gains every day, and we are on the five-yard line,” officials added.
Users may need to restart their devices to restore service.
Customers can continue to use messenger apps such as WhatsApp or Microsoft Teams to connect while voice services are restored.
“Please know: you are not being ignored. You are fueling every effort we’re making. Our teams are working through every barrier, day and night, because we know what’s at stake,” Cellcom officials add.
It’s still unclear what caused the outage, though the company says they are focused on restoring services while providing daily updates via the Cellcom website and Facebook page.
