WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Just days after the Wisconsin Department of Ag, Trade, and Consumer Protection crowned the 2025 Alice in Dairyland, attention turned to planning the 2026 event.
The Visit Wausau CVB has announced that the ceremony will be held in Marathon County and organized by the local Partnership for Progressive Agriculture (PPA). “This is a unique opportunity to shine a spotlight on the hardworking individuals and innovative practices that define Marathon County’s agriculture,” said PPA President Julie Bohr in a press release. “Hosting the 79th Alice in Dairyland aligns perfectly with our mission to educate, promote, and advocate for sustainable agriculture.”
The 78th Alice in Dairyland is Sarah Hagenow of Poynette. Hagenow is a Senior at the University of Minnesota and will serve as an ambassador for the state’s agriculture industry for one year beginning in June. That will include a visit to the Marathon County Dairy Breakfast on June 29th at Miltrim Farms.
Details on the location of the 79th Alice in Dairyland ceremony are forthcoming. Those who would like to get involved should contact Jeni Rudolph, Co-Chair of the 79th Alice in Dairyland Committee & PPA Board Member, at 715-218-1504 or at www.marathonppa.org
