LAC du FLAMBEAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — Lac du Flambeau tribal police are now offering a $25,000 cash reward for information that leads to the safe return of Melissa Beason, or the arrest and prosecution of those involved in her disappearance.
The 37-year-old has been missing since March 23 and was last seen on March 17 walking on Indian Village Road near Wayman Lane in Lac du Flambeau. She was wearing red sweatpants, a black sleeveless shirt, and a gray sweatshirt.
Since then law enforcement has conducted numerous searches. Their efforts include grid searches, deploying drones and airplanes, and using specially trained canines.
Over 3,400 acres have been searched so far.
Law enforcement and correctional employees are not eligible for the reward. The Tribe will distribute the reward based on the value of the information provided.
