MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers announced three roster moves on Friday afternoon as they prepare to begin their weekend series against the Tampa Bay Rays.
According to a post from the team on X, third baseman Vinny Capra, who holds a .074 batting average with just four hits in 54 at-bats this season, has been designated for assignment, and left-handed relief pitcher Bryan Hudson and third baseman Andruw Monasterio have been called up to the majors from Triple-A Nashville.
Monasterio has not played for the Brewers so far this season after hitting .208 with just sixteen RBIs last season, while Hudson was sent down to the minors last month and holds a 4.15 ERA this season.
The Brewers and Rays will get underway from George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa Bay at 6:05 p.m. CST on WSAU.
