WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Central Wisconsin woman accused of rationing her daughter’s food and drink intake has changed her plea back to not guilty.
Brittany Hull changed her plea again during a Tuesday hearing, with little discussion by both sides. The court accepted the change and gaveled out of the hearing in about three minutes.
The 32-year-old is accused of severely limiting the victim’s food and water intake to the point where she had difficulty using her utensils. She also forced the girl to eat in a separate room from the rest of the family.
She told investigators it was part of a special diet she had researched to help the girl deal with an “undiagnosed medical condition.”

Hull had previously pled not guilty, then switched her plea to not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. That was changed on Tuesday as the result of a mental competency evaluation.
A pretrial conference was scheduled for July 1st. No trial dates have been set for Brittany, though her partner, Tristian Hull, will go to trial in early 2026 for similar charges.
