ST. LOUIS, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers dropped two of three games over the weekend but managed to pick up a 7-1 on Sunday in St. Louis.
After losing Friday night, the Brewers dropped Saturday’s game 6-5. After the Brewers tied the game with two runs in the 9th, Nolan Arenado hit a walk-off home run off Milwaukee closer Trevor Megill. Jackson Chourio hit his 6th homer for the Brewers.
Sunday, Jose Quintana moved his record to 4-0 giving up one run on five hits over five innings with 6 K’s. Milwaukee scored three runs in the first and four in the 4th and were never challenged.
Christian Yelich had two hits and two RBIs. Brice Turang, William Contreras, Sal Frelick,Rhys Hoskins and Caleb Durbin had the other RBIs.
The Brewers, now 14-15, have an off day Monday before starting a series with the White Sox in Chicago on Tuesday night.
