GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) -The Green Bay Packers added more depth to their defense as over 200,000 fans attended the final day of the 2025 NFL Draft.
After selecting former Texas star pass rusher Barryn Sorrell during the 4th round, the Packers drafted Oklahoma State Cowboys pass rusher Collin Oliver, Georgia defensive tackle Warren Brinson, Tulane cornerback Micah Robinson, and Cincinnati offensive tackle/guard John Williams in rounds five through seven, giving Green Bay extra versatility on their defensive line and secondary.
The Packers continued to add depth to their roster, signing several undrafted free agents, including former Kentucky linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson, former Georgia defensive tackle Nazir Stackhouse, Minnesota offensive lineman Tyler Cooper, South Dakota State running back Amar Johnson, Rice offensive tackle Brant Banks, and former Penn State wide receiver Julian Fleming.
Green Bay needed more depth inside, and the additions of Brinson and Stackhouse will give defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley immediate contributors who played against top competition in the SEC while winning two national championships and combining for nine career sacks during their time with the Bulldogs.
Analysts and fans expected the Packers to add multiple cornerbacks during the draft, but after failing to trade Jaire Alexander and signing veteran free agent Nate Hobbs during the off-season, they settled on Robinson, who the team hosted for an official top 30 visit earlier this month after he recorded two interceptions and 33 tackles during his one season at Tulane. He also impressed scouts at the combine, recording a 4.42 40-yard dash time, and if he makes the 53-man roster, Robinson will be the team’s third 7th-round corner on the roster, joining Carrington Valentine and Kalen King.
The full 2025 draft class and undrafted signees will make their Packers debut when rookie minicamp begins on May 12th.
