MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Bucks are upgrading point guard Damian Lillard’s injury designation for game two of their playoff series against the Indiana Pacers as the team looks to even the series at a game apiece on Tuesday.
According to NBA Insider Chris Haynes, Lillard is now considered questionable for Tuesday night’s game after missing the team’s games over the last few weeks due to a blood clot in his right thigh that has decreased in size to the point that the team’s medical staff is no longer recommending he take his prescribed blood-thinning medication.
During his media availability on Monday, head coach Doc Rivers spoke about Lillard’s progress, saying, “He’s close. He looks great to me.”
The Bucks missed Lillard’s leadership and ability to score in Saturday’s game one as Indiana outscored Milwaukee in the second quarter 34-18, and the Bucks did not have a player record a positive plus/minus metric, with notable players such as Kyle Kuzma and Taurean Prince recording a -24 and -15 and combining for 0 points, respectively.
Tip-off between the Bucks and Pacers can be heard at 6 p.m. CST on 93.9 The Game.
