GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers are hosting another top wide receiver prospect for the 2025 NFL draft as the team continues to look for Jordan Love’s future number one receiver.
According to a post on his Instagram account, former Colorado State receiver and projected day two pick Tory Horton is in Green Bay on Wednesday to work out and interview with the Packers on an official top 30 visit.
Horton, 22, is coming off a disappointing senior season for the Rams that ended in October after he suffered a knee injury against San Jose State. He totaled only 26 catches for 353 yards and one touchdown before undergoing season-ending knee surgery. However, Horton bounced back and impressed scouts during the NFL combine in February with a 4.41-second 40-yard dash, showing them that the injury is no longer a factor after running routes, catching punts, and performing the broad jump.
In total, Horton had 265 receptions, 3,615 yards, and 27 touchdowns across 50 career collegiate games at Colorado State and Nevada.
The Packers have seemingly set their sights on drafting a wide receiver early during next week’s NFL draft, hosting several top receiver prospects, including Arizona’s Tetoria McMillan, Texas’s Matthew Golden, Maryland’s Tai Felton, Ohio State’s Emeka Egbuka, and Texas’s Isaiah Bond, in recent weeks. Green Bay hasn’t drafted a wide receiver in the first round since they selected Javon Walker 20th overall in 2002.
