NEW YORK, NY (WSAU) — The New York Yankees and their new “torpedo” bats completed a sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers with wins on Saturday & Sunday at Yankee Stadium.
Saturday New York launched nine home runs in a 20-9 slaughter and then hit four more long balls Sunday in a 12-3 rout. In all, they hit 15 home runs in the three game sweep.
Aaron Judge hit three home runs on Saturday with 8 RBIs. He had another on Sunday after also homering in the opener on Thursday.
Jazz Chisholm had two homers in Sunday’s win after the Brewers walked Judge intentionally.
Brice Turang had a homer on Saturday and Jake Bauers went deep for Milwaukee on Sunday.
After the sweep, the Brewers pitching staff holds a team ERA of 12.75.
Milwaukee will have their home opener today as Kansas City comes to American Family Field. Pre game show at 12:35 on WSAU.
