GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) โ The Green Bay Packers are hosting another pass rusher for an official visit this weekend as the 2025 NFL Draft nears.
According to the Draft Networkโs Ryan Fowler, Georgia edge rusher and projected first-round pick Mykel Williams will be taking an official visit to Green Bay this weekend after the team hosted fellow first-round pass rusher prospects Texas A&Mโs Shemar Stewart and Tennesseeโs James Pearce Jr. for visits in recent weeks.
Williams, who stands 6โ5 and weighs 265 lbs., recorded five sacks and two forced fumbles for the Bulldogs in 2024 and is widely considered one of the best pass rushers in the 2025 draft class due to his ability to shake off blockers and stuff the run as well as get pressure on opposing quarterbacks consistently.
Packers GM Brian Gutenkunst has favored Georgia defenders in the past, selecting three in the first round over the last few years, selecting Eric Stokes, Quay Walker, and Devonte Wyatt during his tenure.
